With 15 million AED distributed on 6 projects…. Human Appeal International concludes its Ramadan projects inside and outside the UAE

Human Appeal International has concluded its package of Ramadan plans for 2011 inside and outside the state. In general, the plans included 6 main projects distributed on various charitable events including: break-fasting projects, Ramadan Mair project, Zakah distribution project, feast's present project, Eid dressing project, Abaiyati project, in a total value mounted to 15 million AED through HAI scattered offices in: Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, Sudan, Iraq, Niger, Senegal, Bosnia, Kosovo, Kyrgyz, India, Indonesia.

In this occasion, Salem Ahmad Al-Naimi, the secretary general of HAI, said: "in such a great occasion, we cannot begin the honorable Shawal month with a fruitful crop of Ramadan projects but with addressing H.H Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and H.H Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al-Nuaimi, The Ruler of Ajman-Member of UAE Supreme Council and their brother rulers with great thanking and appreciation for their prominent role in sponsoring the charitable work. Similarly, we praise the role of all entities that stood behind the success of our charitable projects, whether governmental or private, foundations or individuals for all what has been provided along Ramadan in a way that contributed in backing the execution of all projects to achieve its ultimate goals."   

The project of break-fasting “Iftar” has taken the first place on HAI Ramadan project lists. The fasting people who got served, through this plan, estimated as 6750 persons daily distributed on more than 30 places. The project was manifested in 411 thousand meals ascribed for supporting the fasting people during the holy month inside and outside the state. The total value of the break fasting project mounted to 4.8 million AED. To illustrate, the UAE received 202 thousand meals whereas 209 were offered outside the state; in addition to organizing two break-fasting banquets designed for the elderly and the orphans sponsored by HAI as well as their relatives. In the same context, HAI arranged for collective pre-dawn meals (Suhur) in Al-Aqsa yards for about 80 thousand persons in observing the 27th night of previous Ramadan.

On the other hand, concerning the distribution of alms (Zakah) and Eid alms (Zakah al –Fitr), HAI has undertook in the previous month to distribute the alms on 34 thousand abstinent families inside and outside the state; this plan cost 6.4 million AED. To illustrate, the budget was distributed as the following: 3.5 million and 500 thousand AED was distributed inside the UAE addressing the divorced, the orphans, the widows and their families; while 2.6 million and 900 thousand AED was distributed outside the state on 28 thousand needy families residing in: Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, Sudan, Iraq, Niger, Senegal, Bosnia, Kosovo, Kyrgyz, India, Indonesia.

Human Appeal International has finished its arrangements for the campaign of “feast’s gift” that is ascribed for orphans. It has offered a gift mounted to 1.5 million AED distributed on 5420 orphans inside and outside the state in times of the state’s celebration of Eid in the 1st of Shawwal 1432 A.H. 

Further, HAI has concluded its charitable projects in Ramadan in distributing 19 thousand Eid dressings inside and outside the state on the deserving people; it is worth noting that the budget of the plan mounted to 950 thousand AED (50AED/ Eid Dressing). 

HAI executed various charitable projects including the educational, social and health plans. In this concern, more than 50 charitable and humanitarian projects were carried out in a cost of 3 million AED.

Al –Nuaimi added: “the interest to proliferate happiness with the beginning of the holy month besides the honored directions issued by our leaders, may Allah protect them, have drawn to us a clear way to support charity doing and its development. Further, it has pushed the ambition to hold the idea abroad in a humanitarian initiative that distinguished the Emeriti people and being praised internationally in a way that the United Arab Emirates became one of the prominent sponsoring countries for charity in the area”.
